Why do people turn to the Old Testament?

Why do people in 2023 turn to these archaic texts written thousands of years ago? In this website, programmed from scratch in it's entirety, we will explore this.

What even is the Old Testament?

The Old Testament is defined as the first part of the Christian bible.
It contains around 51 books, ranging from bloody battles to tails of salvation.
It was written around 1200 and 165 BCE by scriptures who's job it was to interpret god's message
With a book written this long ago, it can be baffling to learn that millions of people today still rely on it to teach life lessons, and as a way to learn more about God. So what are these lessons and how have they withstood the test of time?

What does the Old Testament contain?

The Old Testament contains around 51 books that were written by scribes chosen by God. These books include and are certanly not limited to Joshua, Numbers, Exodus, and way more.
These books range from bloody battles such as those in Joshua, to a rebellious nation such as in Exodus. Lets go over a few.
In Joshua, God gives control and power to Joshua to take control of the promised land. Throughout the book Joshua commands an army and takes advantage of his power with God and his military might, crushing his enemies. Even during ambushes where he's destined to die, he follows God's command and ruthlessly drestroys his enemies

So? Why do people still follow the Old Testament?

Well truthfully, people still follow the Old Testament for many reasons.
Even though it's extremely old and should not be followed today, millions do, so what gives?
Well everyone finds their own reason to follow the Old Testament. Some enjoy the stories themselves, others enjoy the hidden meanings the stories convay. There is not one definitive reason as to why many still live by this collection of books.
Even if you yourself do not find any content within these old pages, others might. That is why they are still around
